The good: An agreement was finally reached between camps and tickets are now on sale. Well, kinda sorta.
The bad: Top Rank president Todd duBoef said only about 500 tickets will be sold to the public. The rest of the tickets are divided between Mayweather Promotions, Top Rank, and the MGM Grand.
What it means: It means that your regular boxing fan is ass-out if he wants to attend this event. Remaining tickets will be sold (or given) to corporate sponsors, friends, camp members of each team, etc, etc, etc. Just not to YOU, the FAN.
The good news is that even if they were available, the price tag on such an event is too high for most.
Now all we need to know are the following:
- What’s the closed circuit situation for folks in Las Vegas?
- How much will those closed circuit tix cost?
- Will the fight be at movie theaters?
- How about the weigh-in?
- Are rumors of a $10 fee for fans to attend the weigh-in true?
Stay tuned as we find out more and more in these next 10 days.
