Press Release: Roc Nation Sports announced it has signed an exclusive promotional contract with Edward Latimore III, a 30 year-old heavyweight with a record of 10-0 with 6 KOs. Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Latimore had an amateur record of 40-11, including winning the 2011 Pennsylvania Golden Gloves and the 2011 National PAL as well as winning a silver at the 2011 Ringside Tournament. As an amateur, Latimore defeated several notable Americans, inclusing Dominic Breazeale and Charles Martin. Latimore is trained by Tom Yankello, who has groomed and developed former IBF lightweight titleholder Paul Spadafora and heavyweight contender Calvin Brock.

Latimore turned professional on January 26, 2013, scoring a third-round technical knockout win over John Hill at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton, West Virginia. After tallying knockout victories in three of his next four fights, on February 7, 2015 he fought in his first-six round bout, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Brandon Spencer, again at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton.

In his most recent bout on December 11th, Latimore notched a six-round unanimous win over Jamal Woods at the Wellsburg Banquet Hall in Wellsburg, West Virgina.

Outside the ring, Latimore is both a patriot and an intellectual. He is a radio technician specialist in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, an AmeriCorps volunteer and is also working towards a degree in Physics and Electrical Engineering at Duquesne University. When he is not strengthening his body for boxing, Latimore exercises his mind to stay sharp inside the ring by playing chess. He has traveled to Moscow and Berlin to compete against world-renowned chess players. In addition, he is also a prolific writer having self-published several books and contributes to blogs.
