Wilson, NC (August 30) – Undefeated rising boxing superstar Austin Bryant is hoping he can have a positive impact, and is pledging his free time to give back to the kids and community at “The Spot” in Wilson, NC.
Austin Bryant has not forgotten the positive role models from Wilson, NC that allowed him to be a great amateur boxer and now one of the hottest professional boxing prospects in the world. Bryant wants to make sure other kids will have the same opportunity, so he is volunteering at “The Spot” two days a week to participate in the Triple play The SPOT Way, health and fitness program.
“The Spot” is located at 910 Tarboro St in Wilson, NC, and is a non-profit youth services organization. Spot stands for S-haring P-ositive O-utcomes T-ogether with kids and their families in Wilson. The SPOT promotes an atmosphere of accountability, confidence, and self-esteem building for children. The program is open to all Wilson County kids and youth ages 5-18. The Spot pays particular attention to At Risk Youths, those in danger of Juvenile Crime, Gang Involvement, Latch Key & Dropping Out of School, and any kids with a desire to bridge cultural gaps.
Bryant, a.k.a. “The Babyface Assassin,” kicked off his service by introducing himself to the community, shaking hands, taking photos, and giving strong words of encouragement to the young men and teams participating in the Eastern North Carolina Football League annual football jamboree hosted by “The Spot” Jr. Warriors.
