Multi-division world champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, (58-6-2, 38 KOs) had his media workout at the Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, California. Pacquiao attempts to win the WBO World welterweight championship from titleholder Jessie Vargas (27-1, 10 KOs), on Saturday November 5 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The event will air live on Pay-Per-View.
Here’s what Manny and others had to say:
I feel good. training camp has been great.
I keep fighting of course there is a prize bringing honor to my country. Its the first time in boxing a senator as a boxer.
Doing politics and boxing is my job. It gives me no time for other activities.
Vargas is taller than me but I don’t want to underestimate him. People think its an easy fight. He is a champion.
What keeps Manny fighting is the money because you can’t build homes for the people of the Philippines.
Pacquiao is going up against a young Jessie Vargas that punches like a mule.
Manny’s work ethic is amazing! He is ready.
His ethic is still the best I have seen. I’m amazed after 15 years..
Jessie is aggressive and comes forward. Hope he attacks us.
