WHAT:         The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation will host its 21st Annual Turkey

Giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 18.  De La Hoya will be joined by champions and rising star fighters including Abraham “Chamaco” Lopez, Joet Gonzalez, Christian “Chimpa” GonzalezRyan “Kingry” Garcia, Edgar “Kid Neza” ValerioAlexis Rocha, Tenochtitlan “T-Dog” Nava, Cesar Diaz and Aaron McKenna as they help distribute hundreds of turkeys and other traditional Thanksgiving foods to his hometown in the East Los Angeles community*. The event will be sponsored by Guerrero/Mission Foods, 4 Earth Farms, Delori Products, Tropicana, Jarritos, Nestle, Tampico and Agua Brands.

 

*Note: The families receiving the turkey dinner donations have been pre-selected. Turkey dinners will not be given away on-site to community members without a voucher.

FACTS:         In 1995, Chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya started his honorable Oscar

De La Hoya Foundation to help improve the quality of life for the community in his hometown of East Los Angeles. Today, with the help many partners, the foundation serves thousands of people annually.  The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation supports the Oscar De La Hoya Ánimo Charter High School, the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center and the Oscar De La Hoya Labor and Delivery Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (both located at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles) in addition to various after school programs that promotes positive lives, and protect youth from the circumstances of living in underprivileged communities.
