FITE TV continues to grow with over 15 live events scheduled this weekend

New York, NY (October 12th, 2017) – This weekend, October 13-15, FITE TV will achieve another milestone when the platform telecasts 15 live combat sports events from around the world on the FITE app and its website http://www.FITE.tv. At one point during the weekend FITE will be airing live programming for over 27 consecutive hours.

The weekend kicks off on Friday literally with an all women’s kickboxing tournament from Bulgaria called Girl Power 4, that is then followed up by World Class Fight League’s WCFL 19 from Tampa. On Saturday the programming starts off in the very early morning with PowerPlay 35 Muay Thai from Australia, and then is followed with Vogtlander Fight Night (Muay Thai/Boxing) from Germany, AFL MMA 13 from Spain, Fightbox KOK 49 Prelims, KOK 49 World Series Tallin Main Event (Estonia), Warriors Cup XXXIII Kickboxing (Philadelphia), Spartyka Fight League 31 (Norfolk, VA), Dekada Premier Fight Night Boxing (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), ACB 72 MMA (Montreal), RIZIN 2017 Grand Prix Part 2 (Fukuoka, Japan). And then on Sunday FITE winds down the weekend with Diamondback Fighting Championship 4 MMA (Australia), ROH Wrestling Global Wars (Chicago) and Colosseum Tournament – Vikings Kickboxing (Romania).

UFC® AND FITE TV ANNOUNCE  NEW TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION PARTNERSHIP

Las Vegas – UFC®, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, today announced a new digital partnership with combat sports network FITE TV, to broadcast the global brand’s Pay-Per-View events on its streaming platform to customers throughout the United States. The partnership launches on Saturday, September 9, in conjunction with UFC® 215: JOHNSON vs. BORG , live from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada. Fight fans will be able to stream the highly-anticipated event live via the network’s FITE app and through its website FITE.TV. Eight women fighters will be part of the loaded July 30th RFF card, headlined by the opening round of RFF Grand-Prix 2017, welterweight division, including former UFC title contender Kyoji Horiguchi (19-2-0) vs. Japanese fan-favorite Hideo Tokoro (34-9-2), former UFC standout Anthony Birchak (13-4-0) vs. DEEP Bantamweight Champion Takafumi Otsuka (22-13-2), and heavyweight standout Amir Aliakbari (6-1-0) vs. Bellator and WSOF veteran Tyler King (12-5-0).
 
No. 1 ranked female MMA heavyweight and multiple Jiu Jjitsu world champion, Gabi Garcia (4-0-0), takes on four-time Russian National Boxing champion Oskanda Gagloeva, who will be making her pro debut. The 5′ 9″, 225-pound Gagloeva will be the most accomplished striker Garcia has ever faced.
 
RFF has been putting emphasis on its women’s division, welcoming new talent in their professional debuts, such as San Francisco-native Shimju Auclair against Sheena Star, of Michigan.

N.E. Junior Middleweight champion Greg Vendetti (14-2-1, 10 KOs), fighting out of Stoneham (MA), will defend his title against Worcester’s (MA) Khiary Gray (14-2, 11 KOs) in the eight-round main event. Vendetti is riding a 10-fight win streak, knocking out eight opponents during this stretch, while Gray is a former Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) International and Northeast Junior Middleweight champion.

The best fighter on the card is undefeated junior middleweight Mark “Bazooka” DeLuca (18-0, 12 KOs), a U.S. Marine from Quincy (MA) who fought in Afghanistan. He’ll be tested by always-dangerous Chris Chatman (14-6-1, 5 KOs), of Chicago, in the eight-round co-feature bout.

In six-round bouts, Worcester’s Kendrick Ball Jr. (6-0-2, 5 KOs) faces fellow unbeaten middleweight Godson Noel (6-0-1, 4 KOs), of Newark (NJ); highly-touted Providence lightweight prospect Anthony Marsella, Jr. (4-0, 2 KOs) returns to fight Abraham Torres (3-1, 1 KO), of Dallas; Virginia heavyweight Joe Cusumano (10-1, 8 KOs) takes on Dan Biddle (9-6, 5 KOs); New Bedford (MA) junior middleweight Ray Oliveira, Jr. (7-1 1 KO) – son of former two-time IBU World champion Ray “Sucra” Oliveira – meets Jose Rivera (3-1, 3 KOs), fighting out of Hartford (CT), in a rematch of a fight won by Oliveira.

In another hotly-contested regional showdown, New London (CT) junior welterweight Cristobal Marrero (4-0, 2 KOs) squares off with fellow unbeaten Miguel Ortiz (2-0, 2 KOs) of Springfield (MA), in a four-round bout. Oher four-round matches include Salem (MA) junior welterweight Matt Doherty (6-3-1, 4 KOs) vs. Providence’s Cido Hoff (1-1-1), Pawtucket (RI) featherweight Ricky Delossantos (1-0) vs. Newark’s Malcolm Simms (0-0-1), and Providence’s pro-debuting Michael Valentin vs. TBA.

A team of veteran boxing announcers will handle the live stream on Canelo-Chavez.com for this Saturday’s mega fight between Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Jr LIVE from Las Vegas

The English language stream will have Golden Boy Promotions blow-by-blow announcer Beto Duran with veteran boxing reporter and Ringtv.com editor Doug Fischer will serve as color commentator.

Mexican sports reporter and television personality Jorge Milhe will call the action with one of the greatest Mexican boxers of all-time, future Hall of Famer, Erik “El Terrible” Morales, as color analyst for the Spanish language stream, available exclusively on Canelo-Chavez.com
